ARE THE MENTAL ILLNESSES OF MASS SHOOTERS TO BLAME FOR THEIR CRIMES?

Unfortunately, mass shootings have been occurring far more frequently within the past few years. Tragedies have occurred all over the country and have made people demand for something to change. But what exactly should be done? Where does the blame for these horrific acts lie? An idea that consistently arises after shootings is mental illness and that people commit these acts because of mental sicknesses. In my research, I will be explaining why mental illnesses cannot be the blamed for the crimes of mass shooters.
